The University provides all staff and students with free access to Lynda.com which contains over 5,000 creative, business, and technology courses.
On 19 February the University’s Lynda accounts will be migrated across to LinkedIn Learning. This will require all existing users to complete a confirmation step; we’ve included an overview of the process below.
This migration will improve the usability of the service and make it easier to identify training to support your career aspirations. If you have a LinkedIn account, you can link your new LinkedIn Learning profile with your existing LinkedIn profile. This should improve the personalisation and course recommendations you see and will make it easy to demonstrate your skills and personal development to your networks and potential employers.
During the upgrade
All Lynda.com content will be unavailable from midday on Tuesday 19 February until midday on Wednesday 20 February.
After the upgrade
You will receive an email from LinkedIn Learning asking you to authenticate your account on the new system. Once that’s done you’ll have access to all the Lynda content and your previous viewing history, bookmarks and notes. Any existing links or bookmarks you currently have to Lynda content will continue to work.
Further details on the migration process are available here.
You may also find this short course useful as it shows you how to use and make the most of LinkedIn Learning.
