Public Policy|Southampton is pleased to introduce a series of policy-focused training sessions designed to support all researchers at our University and increase the impact of their current research.

- Masterclass on Policy Engagement 25 March, Boldrewood Campus will build researchers’ skills and knowledge for policy engagement, in particular by unpacking what is good evidence and how to effectively present and communicate it.
- How to write a Policy Brief 3 April, Highfield Campus looks at what the policymaker audience demands from a policy brief and how you can go about creating it.
- How to identify and influence policymakers 10 April, Highfield Campus explores who the key policymakers are, how to find them, and how to get them to focus on one individual’s research findings.
- The Policy Masterclass 8 May, Boldrewood Campus learn from former Secretary of State and Southampton Alumnus John Denham in this talk specifically designed for researchers with a public policy impact goal.
- How to win at policy 31 May, Highfield Campus will look at how to engage with local government and central government, work with civil society and Parliamentary scrutiny. It will aim to demystify the process of engaging with public policy actors and highlight support available from Public Policy|Southampton.
