Our University has been shortlisted amongst the UK’s top universities for Clubs & Societies and Postgraduate experience in the 2019 Whatuni Student Choice Awards.
According to Whatuni, students are clearly impressed with the clubs and societies on offer by our Students’ Union. Last year, the students’ high ratings and positive comments meant Southampton placed 9th in this category at the 2018 Whatuni Student Choice Awards. Our Students’ Union offers over 300 clubs and societies to our students so there truly is something for everyone.
Find out more about clubs and societies and how to join them on the Students’ Union website.
Positive reviews this year by our students have catapulted us into the reckoning for this year’s Postgraduate award after being unranked in 2018.
The winners of all 2019 Whatuni Student Choice Awards will be announced on 25 April at a ceremony in London hosted by the comedian Omid Djalili.
This year, Whatuni collected reviews from over 41,000 students at 160 UK institutions. The threshold for featuring in the main categories is 150-200 reviews.
Now in their sixth year, the Awards are based entirely on student reviews collected around the UK by members of the Whatuni team. The results, both quantitative (scores) and qualitative (free text), determine the shortlists in 13 categories and the annual Whatuni Student Choice rankings.
