All members of our University community are invited to take part in the Festival of Doctoral Research, with bookings now open for a number of events.
Organised by the Doctoral College, the Festival will run from 7 May to 23 May and aims to celebrate the University’s doctoral researchers and bring the wider University community together.
There will be over 30 events running during the three-week Festival period, including:
- Doctoral Research Showcase: This event will showcase a wide variety of doctoral research projects from across the disciplines through a mix of, poster, exhibits and hands-on activities. Exhibitors in this event will be eligible for a number of Showcase Awards!
- Bake your PhD: Calling all budding bakers! Are you the next Mary Berry? Then bake your PhD! The aim is to bake a cake (or other baked good) that visually portrays the topic (and findings if you have them) of your PhD! The entry form is hosted on Microsoft Forms so you may need to log in using your University account credentials.
- Doctoral College Director’s Awards: Nominations are now open for the Doctoral College Director’s Awards, recognising PGRs for their exceptional achievements beyond their research project. Fellow PGRs and staff members are able to make their nominations before 26 April.
