‘An Introduction to Autism – a chance to dispel some of the myths and access support’

This World Autism Awareness Week talk will be presented by volunteer David Carter MBE, South Hampshire Branch Chair of the National Autistic Society (NAS) and member of the Hampshire Autism Partnership Board.
David will provide an overview of what autism actually is, explaining the diverse ways it can affect people, dismissing some of the myths around autism and giving some general practical advice for working with autistic people. There will also be the opportunity to hear about some of the support that is available locally.
