All level 4-6 staff should make sure appraisals are completed and recorded before the end of May 2019.
The appraisal is your opportunity to meet with your line manager to reflect back and plan for the coming year.
It is a joint opportunity to:
- Reflect on your contribution for the year up to 31 December 2018
- Consider your personal development and career aspirations
- Agree your objectives for the coming year
Find out more about what actions to take following the appraisal on our guidance page.
Key tasks include:
- Record the appraisal in MyHR Dashboard
- Both appraisee and appraiser record overall ratings and notes for the moderation panel on the ‘Overall Contribution Summary’ page of the online appraisal form dated 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2018
- Once both colleagues have completed this, submit the online form
- New objectives for the year ahead are recorded in the form dated 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019
To help prepare, appraisers can carry out the new eLearning for appraisers course via Blackboard.
