Nominations are now open for the annual WiSET+ awards and will close on Friday 17 May. These awards recognise exceptional contributions of individuals from students, academics, technical and managerial staff, across our University who have made an outstanding contribution to supporting women in academia, above and beyond the requirements of their formal role.
We know that there are many such champions throughout our University and you are encouraged to submit your nominations online. Recipients of the WiSET+ award receive a WiSET+ award trophy and a cash prize presented at the WiSET+ Creativity Competition Exhibition, Summer 2019.
It is widely accepted that women are under-represented in academia at all levels. WiSET+ is a University of Southampton action group which provides a forum for women academics and staff to work constructively to make changes in our everyday experiences.
The awards are open to all staff or students at our University, irrespective of their mode of study or nature of their employment. Please submit your nomination using this online form.
