Gender pay gap reporting

The University has recently published its statutory gender pay gap data for 2018.

We are pleased to see a modest year-on-year narrowing of both our mean and median gender pay gaps in this year’s data. This improvement is in keeping with our long-term aims to address gender pay gaps, but we recognise that there is still some way to go, and we continue to review our policies, process and practices to maintain our progress. You can view our full gender pay gap submission on the Government’s Gender Pay Gap Service.

As confirmed by our regular equal pay reviews, we are confident that our gender pay gap does not stem from paying men and women differently for work of equal value, but is instead the result of the different types and seniorities of the roles in which men and women tend to work, and the pay that these roles attract. You can read our equal pay reviews and find out more about our gender pay gap reports on the University website.
