We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic students to work at our University Open Days. These vibrant events are a chance for prospective students and their families to visit the University to help them decide whether they want to study here at Southampton.
If you’d like to work as a Student Ambassador, complete this short application form by Friday 7 June 2019.
Student Ambassadors play a vital role, directing our visitors and answering their questions. This is a brilliant opportunity to share your love of Southampton, while also gaining skills that future employers are looking for (public speaking and presenting, for example).
You’ll undertake roles such as assisting in exhibition areas, directing visitors, giving tours, registering prospective students and showcasing halls of residence.
The dates for our 2019 Open Days are below:
Saturday 6 July
Sunday 7 July
Saturday 7 September
Sunday 8 September
Saturday 12 October
You can work just one day, or all five days if you are available. Please ensure you are available to work for the entire day, and we will be in contact to confirm shift times. You should also be available to attend a training session in the week leading up to the first event that you work. Please note that the training session is unpaid.
Pay rate is £7.70 per hour (plus holiday pay) for under 25 year-olds, or £8.21 per hour (plus holiday pay) for over 25 year-olds.
