Researchers at the University are looking for more volunteers to help in a world-first trial to treat meningitis.
The trial involves the development of a new nose drop containing modified friendly bacteria which could stop the deadly disease.
The medication was developed by Professor Robert Read, director of the NIHR Southampton Biomedical Research Centre and Dr Jay Laver, senior research fellow in the experimental human challenge group at the University.
You can hear Dr Laver talking to Julian Clegg on Radio Solent about the idea and aims of the trail and requirements for participants to join in. The interview starts at 1:11:45.
