We still need your feedback on our communications!

There’s still time to participate in communications workshops to give your opinion on how we can help you to keep well informed. Below are the remaining sessions that we would love for you to attend if you haven’t yet had the chance to express your views.

  • Tuesday 21 May, 12:0013:00, National Oceanography Centre Southampton
  • Wednesday 22 May, 12:0013:00, Winchester School of Art
  • Wednesday 29 May, 12:0013:00, Southampton General Hospital

Express your interest in taking part in any of the above sessions here.

(Please note that after initial feedback from colleagues, the group at Southampton General Hospital has been moved to an alternative date and time.)

We’ve commissioned a research agency, Shift Learning, to gather confidential feedback through a series of small, one hour workshops over lunchtime, with refreshments provided for attendees.

The expression of interest form will help us to ensure we gather as broad a representation of views as possible, involving staff across all of our campuses and from a wide range of job roles. Please note that, in order to include a balance of respondents, we may not be able to include everyone who applies to take part in the workshops.

Once you’ve completed the form, Shift Learning will be in touch to provide you with details on any next steps.

If you’d like to provide feedback but can’t attend any of the workshops, you may do so by filling out the form anonymously, or by emailing Allison Stratford, Head of Corporate Communications.

All groups will be recruited and moderated by an external Shift Learning moderator. Participation will be confidential.

Groups will be recorded and transcribed, however, transcripts will not be shared with anyone outside of Shift Learning. Any quotes used in reporting will be anonymised. All personal details and responses will only be used solely for the purposes of this research project and Shift Learning will destroy all personal data at the close of the project.

The outcomes of this research will directly inform the strategy and future direction of our Internal Communications offering. An update on research outcomes will be provided in a future edition of the new all-staff magazine, Staff Matters. This research has been approved through the University of Southampton’s Administrative Research Ethics and Quality Assurance (AREQA) process.
