Earlier this month, the winners of the 2019 Aspire Awards were presented with their awards by Kerry Matthews, Director of Student Services.
The winners for 2019 are: Charles Bickel, Anna Cooper, Venezia Georgieva, Megan Griffiths, Peter Latham, Tatenda Madivani, Sophie Minns, Alberto Natale, Daniella Pingarelli, Graham Shackell, Lucy Stephenson, Olivia Sundaram and Lachlan Williams.
The thirteen winning projects that are each being funded by the awards covered a wide variety of subjects, including Welsh language teaching in Patagonia, a NASA Mars Rover project, illustration of community-based sustainability work, and many other diverse and brilliant projects.
Adrian Dolby, one of the Aspire Awards judges said:
“We were blown away by the quality of the applications for this year’s awards. We are delighted to be helping these students achieve so much from their time at our University, above and beyond achieving their degree.”
Applications for the 2020 Aspire Awards are scheduled to open in the autumn.
