Assistive technology available at the University

Enabling Services provides specialist support for students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) such as Dyslexia and Dyspraxia.

The team has updated the assistive technology (AT) section of their website to make it easier for you to find out about the different software and facilities available.

Available to all students:
There is a range of assistive technology software available on all university computers across our campuses to help with a variety of everyday tasks including notetaking, planning and editing.

Students with recommended access:
If you are registered with Enabling Services, you can request a network login that will allow you access to additional assistive technology software.

To find out which software programmes are available and how to download them, visit the assistive technology software webpages.

Find out more about what the AT suite and AT workstations have to offer and where you can locate the facilities.

Mobile device options:

Learn more about the accessibility options and free apps available to download on to your mobile device by taking a look at one of our useful guides on our mobile device webpage.
