We’re starting to countdown to this year’s Staff Party, taking place on Wednesday 3 July from 15:00 – 17:00 on Highfield Campus.
This year’s theme is Highfield 100, celebrating 100 years of our University at Highfield Campus with an afternoon of fun and relaxation while catching up with colleagues.
You should by now have received your email invitation, but if you missed it, you can still register here.
Activities on the day will be themed around life in 1919, and will include:
- Traditional helter-skelter and fairground attractions
- A silent movie
- Vintage photo booth
- Arts and crafts
- Live music
- Food and refreshments
This year, we wanted to give the party a personal floral touch. We’re inviting all staff to donate clean, empty jam jars (without lids and labels) as well as any flowers and foliage from your gardens to fill the jars to be used to decorate tables at the party with the colours and scents of summer!
Whether you’re a keen gardener, or even just have a small patch of greenery that you fancy giving a trim, we’d love for you to get involved.
Please donate your clean glass jars to Building 37 Reception before Friday 28 June. Flowers and foliage will need to be donated the day before the party (Tuesday 2 July) for maximum freshness – please contact the Events Team in advance with what you’d be looking to contribute: [email protected] and they will send you further details.
If you’re green-fingered and would like to help with the flower arranging on the morning of 3 July, please contact the Events Team with your offer to help.
As in previous years, free bus travel on the UniLink bus service will be available on presentation of your staff ID card from 12:00 – 20:00.
