Nominations for this year’s Vice-Chancellor’s Awards closed on Friday 31 May.
We’re delighted to announce that this year, we received more nominations for the awards than ever before, with our record now standing at 367 nominations.
Thank you to all the staff and students who got involved – by submitting nominations, you’ve helped to celebrate the talent and dedication of our staff. All nominees will be informed that they’ve been nominated for an award by the end of June 2019.
But remember, the awards are far from over! Take a look at our summary timeline to find out what’s happening next:
- Wednesday 3 July: The judging panel comes together for the difficult task of shortlisting
- July: Shortlisted colleagues will be contacted and invited to attend the awards evening
- Friday 26 July: The awards shortlist will be published on SUSSED News
- Friday 4 October: Awards evening held at St Mary’s Stadium where our winners will be revealed. The Internal Communications Team will be live tweeting throughout the night (@UniSouthampton) using the hashtag #VCawards2019
- Monday 7 October: Winners’ names are published on SUSSED News
- October 2019: we’ll be publishing videos and photos from the night across our channels – more details to follow!
