The recently concluded Indian election was the largest in the world in terms of its scale, efforts to organise it, and the time and money spent on it. 900 million people were eligible to vote for the 2019 general elections and about 550 million people voted in seven phases that lasted for nearly two months.
This significant election needed infrastructural support of 1 million polling booths and 10 million polling officers.
