Dear Colleagues,
At the start of this year, we communicated the restructure of our Legal Services team, with changes being made in response to the increasingly exacting compliance and regulatory requirements facing universities.
As part of the restructure, in January Barbara Halliday took up a new role as General Counsel and University Secretary. This change prompted an internal and external recruitment search for a new Director of Legal Services, to focus on leading the day-to-day provision of legal services to support the University in meeting its strategic objectives.
I’m very pleased to announce that we have appointed Letitia Baldock to the role of Director of Legal Services, effective Monday 1 July 2019.
Letitia has been with the University for over 10 years and I’m delighted that she will be bringing her expertise to this important leadership role.
