Open Days: showcasing the University of Southampton experience

As we prepare for our Open Days this weekend (Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 July), we wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff and students who will give their time and share their expertise at these hugely important events.

Over 400 student ambassadors, plus hundreds of staff and faculty representatives will welcome 16,500 prospective students and their families and friends onto our campuses.

Open Day 2018

Open Days are critical for us because it’s our chance to showcase what we can offer prospective students: a life-changing experience that will prepare them for the world ahead of them.

Staff and students who work at these events have an important role to play in demonstrating our passion and exemplifying our commitment to our students’ futures.

These events are decision-making moments for prospective students and their parents, and we need to persuade them that this is not only a great University but the place where they want to be to shape their futures.

The Open Days will showcase all subjects (except Winchester School of Art, which runs separate Open Days, the next one taking place in September). Highfield Campus, the National Oceanography Centre, Avenue Campus and Southampton Boldrewood Innovation Centre will all be open for prospective students to look around.

Thank you once again to everyone involved this weekend for your invaluable help and support.
