Our list of courses currently available to prospective students in this year’s Clearing and Adjustment period is now available online.
Clearing and Adjustment is a crucial time in our calendar when prospective students explore their options, if they’re applying to University after 30 June 2019 or if their exam results are different than expected.
We are publishing our list today in line with when UCAS officially opens Clearing 2019 for entry into UK universities. By publishing our list of vacancies on our Clearing webpages we will be supporting suitably qualified students to explore their options at Southampton as well as supporting them to understand the Clearing process for 2019.
We are already seeing an increasing number of students who want to explore their options before finding out their results, and who are searching for vacancies at Southampton. Both our Clearing and how clearing works webpages have both witnessed significant increases in traffic compared to 2018 with over 140 individuals having already signed up to our Clearing alerts, up 28 per cent on last year.
Confirmation and clearing calendar
- 5 July – Clearing opens for 2019 entry & International Baccalaureate (IB) results received
- 6 August – Scottish Qualification Awards (SQA) results received
- 15 August – A levels results received
- 15 August – University hotline opens
- 17 August – Clearing open day
