As you may be aware, the swimming pool changing rooms are currently being refurbished. Work began in early July and will run up until early November 2019.
This upgrade reflects the recognition that sport is an important part of the student experience and that the facilities and activities are key to staff and the local community.
The refurbishment will result in a newly upgraded changing village, including:
- new showers
- new lockers
- more privacy
- more flexibility
- more hairdryers
- improved accessibility
During this time alternative arrangements have been made to ensure continued access to the sports facilities.
Swimmers are encouraged to bring flip-flops and large towels to the poolside with them as only the Level 1 changing rooms will be available for use.
For a number of short periods across the refurbishment, both the Level 1 and Level 2 changing rooms will be closed. During this period everyone will be asked to use the gym changing rooms.
