CHEP, The Centre for Higher Education Practice, was created in 2017 to ensure there is coordinated, integrated and evidence-based professional development support for education, research and enterprise activities across our University.

CHEP’s ambition is to provide support and to signpost resources for every member of staff, in all areas of academic activity and at every stage of their career.
The next step in the journey is the launch of the new CHEP SharePoint site. This is still work in progress, but the content is intended to inform, inspire and celebrate good practice. You will also be able to find links to the courses on offer as well as CPD (continuous professional development) sessions.
If you would like to write an article or promote your good practice to the wider University, the team would love to hear from you.
Please explore the site and provide your feedback: telephone: ext. 23471, email: [email protected]
CHEP recently moved to new offices in Building 58 and occupies several rooms on the third and fourth floors. The team wanted to acknowledge the kindness and hospitality of the Education School (B32) who hosted them for the last two years.
You can find CHEP now in Building 58, Room 4123 or 4125 – do drop in for a chat or to browse one of their education journals. They look forward to hearing from you!
