Staff and students should be aware that the University’s secure file sharing service, Dropoff, will be renamed SafeSend on 20 July 2019.
The new name was chosen following a staff and student consultation, and will help create a stronger identity for the service (a number of users commented that the name Dropoff was too similar to the external file sharing service Dropbox).
The old Dropoff web address will continue to work, but users will be redirected to the new SafeSend site.
All existing drop-offs will continue to work during and after the name change, so users shouldn’t be affected.
Please use this opportunity to update your browser bookmarks, and edit any inbox rules you might have set up using the old Dropoff name.
