Mindfulness is about learning to be in the moment, moving away from ruminating on the past or worrying about the future. Studies have shown that practising mindfulness regularly can help to reduce our stress levels.
That’s why for the fourth year running, Enabling Services is running its hugely popular ‘8 weeks of mindfulness’ course for students. The course will run each Wednesday from Wednesday 18 September to Wednesday 6 November between 14:00 – 16:00.
Throughout the course, you will learn a range of formal and informal practices which include meditation and a variety of cognitive exercises aimed at bringing greater awareness, clarity, and concentration.
You will be required to attend a group session for two hours per week, as well as complete daily practice at home.
