Student Finance have contacted many new students to inform you that your first loan payment is due to enter your account on 26 September 2019. However, the timing of your first student payment will depend on when you collected your ID card and/or attended your School induction event.
The Student Records Team in the University’s Registry will confirm your attendance to the Student Loans Company the following day, and the payment will normally be made to you 5 to 7 working days after that date.
How to check when you’ll receive payment
Your online Student Finance account will update to show the expected payment date. Future payments will be made on the day set out in the schedule sent to you by the Student Loans Company / Student Finance.
What to do to ensure prompt payment
If you are reliant on your student loan then please collect your ID card and/or attend your School induction event as soon as possible.
