Cycle September: University miles ahead of other Southampton competitors

As Cycle September comes to a close, we’re still holding first place in Southampton, we’re also 5th out of all universities nationally and 8th out of all participating organisations.

Adam Tewkesbury, Associate Director, Transport and Sustainability said:

“It’s great achievement that we’ve managed to hold top place in the competition for Southampton. The challenge closes on Monday 30 September, so there’s still a few days left to participate.

“Any cycle journeys made during September can count, so if you’ve registered but not logged a journey you made for work or leisure earlier in the month, you can still do so and this will contribute towards our overall score.”

Sustainable ways of travelling

Encouraging and supporting more sustainable ways of travelling is a key part of the University’s Travel Plan. Don’t forget to fill in our Travel Plan Survey and help us become even more sustainable. It closes on Friday 11 October 2019.
