Over the summer, our iSolutions Team has upgraded Blackboard, introducing several new features to improve your experience. You can find more details on what has been improved below.
- Students and staff within faculties can now access The Hub, hosted on Blackboard, our new online resource and one-stop-shop to help you make the most of your time studying with us. Find out more
- Blackboard has been reformatted to work smoother across all devices, accessing Blackboard on your phone works just as easily as on your computer.
- The log-in page has a new button entitled Useful Links, providing you with easy access to Enabling Services, the Students’ Union website, SUSSED and other University services.
- Internet Explorer is no longer supported for use with Blackboard. The site works best when accessed through Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox or Safari.
- An Accessibility Toolbar now appears along the top of the page with several features including a dictionary, text to speech and the option to increase or decrease the font size.
- Help banners across the top of the webpage have been introduced, designed to provide specific help at the point you may need it.
In case you missed it, there are dedicated Blackboard apps for students available on iOS, Android and Windows.
The staff version of the app is available on iOS, Android and Windows.
If you need support in person with using Blackboard, visit the iSolutions IT Help Desk in Hartley Library which is open Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 or visit this link.
