Thanks to those of you who have completed our Travel Survey. If you haven’t filled it in yet, there’s still time before it closes this Friday 11 October.
Our Travel Survey takes place every couple of years and we use the results to develop our Travel Plan which looks at ways to encourage staff, students and visitors to adopt more sustainable travel habits.
Since we started these surveys 12 years ago, we have introduced a number of measures including bike storage, shower facilities and additional bus services.
The existing network of roads and paths across our campuses are regularly reviewed from a walker/cyclist perspective to see if improvements can be made.
We now have electric vehicle charging points and we’ve introduced discounts for car sharers. Also, the Highfield Interchange – our main bus stop – has been improved and we’ve introduced a Winchester to Highfield mini bus.
Paper surveys are available on request, please contact Adam Tewkesbury.
Students filled in a separate travel survey in May this year. The results of both surveys are used to inform our Travel Plan.
