World Mental Health Day: events and activities for students

World Mental Health Day takes place on 10 October each year. To mark the event this year, Enabling Services are offering a variety of activities and events for students in the Wellbeing Centre, 28 University Road.

The Students’ Union run a number of initiatives related to mental health throughout the year, to support you, as well as equip you with the skills to enable you to offer support to those around you.

If you can’t attend a drop-in session, you can contact Enabling Service by emailing [email protected], call us on +44(0)23 8059 7726 or access our Live Chat between 14:00 and 16:00. Alternatively, Student Life are available 24/7 to support you.

Whilst you are at University, you might experience a number of changes in your life. If you would like support with these changes, visit the Student Support drop-in sessions to speak to a trained advisor.

Student Life are hosting a number of ‘tea and talks’ based at each Halls site.

The Faith and Reflection Centre will be open for a tea and talk drop-in between 10:00 – 17:00. There will be Chaplains and volunteers available to talk to and lots of tea. They are also hosting a bread and cheese lunch at 13:00, with a ‘Thought for the day’ related to mental health.
