This year’s Christmas Lights Switch On event will take place on Tuesday 26 November at Highfield Campus, and our ever-popular market stalls will be back again, but there are limited spaces on offer. Those interested in hosting a stall should contact [email protected] with their details. Stalls should be Christmas-themed and are subject to approval by the events team. The last date to register interest will be Friday 8 November.
Important information
• Stalls will be outside on the grassy area of the crescent, a trestle table will be provided
• Stalls cannot be expanded, they need to remain the size of the table
• Stalls do not come with a cover, if you are bringing a cover please include this in your email
• Power is not supplied for stalls, whilst the crescent area will be lit, we suggest you bring clip-on/fairy style battery powered lights for your stall
• Applications to sell food at stalls will not be accepted
• You may also be asked to provide copies of your Public Liability Insurance, Products Liability, and Risk Assessment
• The events team require all documents at least two weeks prior to the event
• On the day, stalls will need to be set up by 15:30
• The market will run from 16:00 – 19:00
• It is free to host a stall
Hugely successful year on year, the Christmas Lights Switch On has become an annual tradition offering both staff and students the chance to come together and appreciate the seasonal atmosphere. Students will receive invites from the Vice-Chancellor and Students’ Union President in the next few weeks for the Christmas Lights event.
