Student Services has launched the ‘Who is your cheerleader?’ campaign, which allows parents and supporters of students to sign up to an email newsletter that provides regular updates from the University. Student Services has also launched a new webpage as part of the campaign, providing dedicated information for parents and supporters.
It’s important that the people who have supported our students so far, their ‘cheerleaders’, are welcomed into our University community, that they’re kept informed about what’s happening and given the tools to support their loved ones.
The emails cheerleaders receive will not contain any details on a specific student or their studies, but will contain general information about university life, the support services we have available, and tips for helping their loved ones navigate the student journey.
We hope that, as students talk to their cheerleaders about university, they will be able to have an active role in the conversation and work with their loved one to ensure they’re accessing all the opportunities they can, as well as receiving all the support that’s available to them.
Find out more about the campaign and sign up for the emails via the dedicated webpage.
