Staff are invited to attend a supplier exhibition with a sustainability theme on Thursday 14 November between 10:30 to 15:00 in Garden Court, Building 40 (next to the Staff Club). You can find out which suppliers are attending and book your place on Eventbrite.
The day has been organised by the Procurement department. University contracted suppliers will be available to demonstrate the products and services supplied to the University, as well as to discuss the work they are currently doing in the sustainability area.
Although this event is open to all staff, it will be of particular interest to those who place requisitions and need to use the contracts we have in place.
Eychelle Heywood, Head of Procurement, Payment and Business Improvement says:
“From a procurement perspective, we regularly review how we can work with suppliers who demonstrate they are aligned to the same vision and aims as the University in regard to sustainability.
We seek to use the procurement process to ensure that the environmental, social and economic impacts of what we buy are considered.”
