As part of Anti-Bullying Week and the #UoSrespect campaign, we wanted to remind staff and students of our Harassment Contacts service.
Our Harassment Contacts are staff volunteers who work in a range of professions across our University, providing a confidential service to all staff and students who feel they are being bullied or harassed, as well as those who have been accused of harassment. They can offer a sympathetic ear and try to understand how you feel, and can help you in assessing your options to address the problem. This applies equally to those accused of harassment, who may feel isolated or confused by the accusation, and need assistance in understanding the processes that may be undertaken.
If you would like to talk in confidence to a Harassment Contact, please visit their webpage to find a contact in your area. You don’t have to speak to a contact from your own faculty or department if that would help avoid possible conflicts of interest. The webpage also provides additional information which you may find helpful, such as links to our University’s Dignity at Work and Study policy, and information on out-of-hours support.
If you have questions, or would like more information, please contact the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team by emailing: [email protected]
