University response to concerns of far-right stickers in the Highfield area

An aerial view of the Highfield Campus

The University has recently been made aware of a small number of stickers promoting a far-right political movement appearing in public roads near to Highfield Campus and inside a building accessible to the public on campus. Other stickers have appeared in the city centre.

The organisation featured on these stickers is in direct opposition to the values of diversity and inclusion which are the bedrock of our community and we have taken immediate steps to remove the stickers. Whilst there is no evidence these stickers are linked to anyone at the University, we recognise the distress they may cause to members of our community. The University will never tolerate any form of racist behaviour or racist views and as a community we always seek to support those who feel they are subject to discrimination.

If you observe any similar material on any of our campuses, or have any related concerns, please contact [email protected]. Any reported sightings of materials of this nature on campus will be removed immediately.
