To celebrate 100 years since the opening of Highfield Campus this autumn, the University’s alumni and supporter magazine, Hartley News, has returned for a commemorative one-off edition.
This printed magazine, whose last issue was published over five years ago, is being sent out this week to over 62,000 members of our alumni and supporter community – with a further 100,000 receiving a digital copy.
The special edition focuses on the Highfield Campus’s significant anniversary with articles about its opening in 1919, alumni memories from across the decades, and key moments over the past century. Readers’ favourite ‘Class Notes’ also makes a return, with a selection of updates from alumni of all ages.
In addition to marking the centenary, the Office of Development and Alumni Relations chose to revive the publication as an opportunity to showcase a wealth of historical and nostalgic content – which strongly resonates with our alumni – and to meet the desire for printed communications among a portion of the community.
