Thank you to everyone who took part in the first day of our Festive Five competition launch yesterday.
The correct answer to yesterday’s question was ‘Sand Lizard’. The lizards, one of the rarest in the UK, are now making their home on Eelmoor Marsh Site of Special Scientific Interest as part of the last phase of a release plan and research project led by Southampton PhD student Rachel Gardner.
There are four more days to go to enter our competition for the chance to win a range of prizes, so watch this space!

Clare Old won 1st prize: Dinner and drinks for two at Sadler’s Bar & Smokehouse (one main course each, one regular side each and one drink each).
Charlotte Starkey won 2nd prize – a University branded mug.
Tamara Sie won 3rd prize – a voucher for a hot drink and mince pie kindly supplied by University catering.
