Yesterday, Wednesday 4 December 2019, was the final of eight days of strike action undertaken by members of the University and College Union (UCU) across 60 UK universities.
Although strike action has ended, action short of a strike (ASOS) is set to continue until no later than 29 April 2020.
The University is currently working to assess the full impact and extent of strike action upon our students’ education. This is with a view to, wherever practical, offering affected students alternative learning opportunities and support.
Universities UK (UUK) and the Universities & Colleges Employers Association (UCEA) continue to hold discussions with UCU.
