Research and Innovation Services (RIS) has launched its new SharePoint site, which replaces the Researcher Portal.
The new site is designed to have everything researchers need in terms of support from RIS.
RIS facilitates academic collaborations, industrial interactions and knowledge transfer, and supports academics on research funding, bid proposals and research contracts. The team also supports the commercialisation of Intellectual Property, and manages the University’s submission to the Research Excellence Framework.
RIS consulted researchers from across the University last year to find out what they would like to find on the site. As a result of this feedback, the site now includes:
- A ‘Researcher Journey’ outlining touchpoints and contacts from idea to output
- A section of the site dedicated to Early Career Researchers
- An ‘About RIS’ section
- Research news on the homepage
- Links to other services and teams across the University
The site is simple to navigate and is split into the following sections:
- Funding and bid support
- Intellectual Property and Commercialisation
- Integrity, Ethics and Governance
- Contract support
- Impact
- Working with Industry
We hope you find the site useful, and would welcome your feedback and suggestions as we continue to develop and add to the site. Please contact Lucy Collie at [email protected].
