Funding opportunities through Japanese networks: interdisciplinary research in climate change

Join a RENKEI future funding session where a PhD student, an Early Career Researcher (ECR), and a Director of Internationalisation will share their experience of collaboration with Japanese partners – to hear how you too might get involved.

RENKEI is a partnership between 12 universities in Japan and the UK, aiming to further knowledge exchange and research collaboration between institutions and individuals. Members include Tokyo, Kyoto and Nagoya universities and all are working together to combat climate change. A theme coming on later in 2020 is human health.

To stimulate collaborative working, grant funding awards of 2x £5,000 are made available for the best group pitches. You can hear how our ECR Dr Rebecca Spake won this seed funding at recent RENKEI workshops. The next series of workshops are planned for June 2020 in Kyoto and a call for expressions of interest will go out soon.

Venue: Building 85/2207

Time: 12 – 1pm on Thursday 30th January

Refreshments will be freely available.

Please register for a place. (limited to 60!)
