Code Surgeries: Advice for your Research Code

If you have questions about writing code for your research, the Research Software Group (RSG) can help you.  The group is inviting researchers from faculties to attend Code Surgeries, held every alternate Monday afternoon on Highfield Campus. To sign up, please fill in the form here and they will contact you to arrange a time.

Code Surgeries are an opportunity for researchers to have a one on one discussion with an experienced Research Software Engineer about the code you develop as part of your research, or more general discussions about the process of software development. This can mean anything from help fixing a particular bug or improving the performance of a critical function, to tips for making your results more reproducible.

The RSG is part of the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, within Electronics and Computer Science.  In their role as Research Software Engineers, they produce software for researchers to help them do their work more effectively.

For more information about the RSG, please visit their website at or email [email protected].
