How do you write about a woman who’s already written a diary of over four million words?
In this year’s Stonewall Lecture, Dr Jill Liddington explores how Anne Lister has been presented by successive generations of editors and historians, tracing the story through the lens of LGBT history from 1840 when Anne died, right through to Gentleman Jack in 2019.
Taking place on Thursday 20 February 2020 from 17:30 – 19:30 with refreshments from 17:30 – 18:00 at Avenue Campus (room details to be confirmed), you can book your free place here.
Bookings close at 13:00 on Tuesday 18 February. There will be a charity collection for the Stonewall charity at the end of the lecture.
