The Universities and Colleges Employers Association (UCEA) has presented a range of proposals aimed at concluding pay round and resolving the dispute with the University and College Union (UCU).
The proposals address issues around employment, focusing on casual employment, workload/mental health and gender pay gaps/ethnicity pay.
UCEA represents universities and higher education colleges in national negotiations with the sector trade unions. The proposals follow two months of talks between UCEA and UCU.
Wednesday 4 December 2019 was the final of eight days of strike action undertaken by members of the UCU across 60 UK universities.
UCU is considering further action over pensions and the pay dispute.
You can read full details about the proposals on the UCEA website.
