David Grey, Chair of UK Advising and Tutoring, leads the third CHEP keynote lecture

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a way of thinking about teaching and learning that helps give all students an equal opportunity to succeed. This approach offers flexibility in the way students access material, engage with it and demonstrate their learnings.

In this lecture David will aim to give you some best practice tips on how to integrate this strategy into your everyday teaching to accommodate all level of students’ abilities and work towards a more inclusive classroom.

David Grey has over 25 years’ experience as an academic and personal tutor. UKAT is a UK sectoral association focused on ensuring that every Higher Education student experiences effective personal tutoring which personalises their learning and enables them to flourish. Until recently he was PCAP programme leader at York St John University. David’s research interests lie in the field of personal tutoring and inclusive practice, he has presented on UDL at international conferences around the world.
