Are you in receipt of a maintenance loan from Student Finance England (SFE), or a Bursary from the University of Southampton?
Following on from the outbreak of the Coronavirus and measures to reduce the spread of this through remote learning, questions surrounding April’s payment of the maintenance loan and May’s Bursary instalment have been raised.
The Maintenance loan is still scheduled to be paid in April, as outlined in your award letter, even if you are distance studying from home. Regular updates are being provided to us by Student Finance England, the most recent of which can be found here.
The final instalment of the University of Southampton Bursary (available to those with a confirmed household income of below £25,000), is still scheduled to be paid on or around 18 May 2020 as expected.
