Assistance with moving education online and teaching remotely

For the immediate future the University of Southampton has suspended all face to face teaching.

For many this will be an easy transition as you will have already some experience of teaching online. For others this may seem a daunting prospect.

There are many options already available on various University platforms to support you in transitioning from face to face teaching and assessment to online delivery. In fact, there are so many resources, tools and techniques that it might feel overwhelming.

In collaboration with the Digital Learning Team, the Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP), has built some new SharePoint pages that have been designed to help you find the most appropriate options for you and your students.

These pages are designed for individual academics, module and programme leaders, and you will see we are building a bank of Quick Start Guides, as well as developing a FAQ section, all of which are designed to help you get started.

Please note this site is developing quickly, with additional resources being added every day. We invite your feedback to ensure the site is developed to best meet your needs. To that end, there is a comments section on the page where you can post your queries. These will inform the development of our FAQs.
