In this week’s Bite-Sized Lecture, the Engagement & Advancement Event Team is revisiting one of its previous Distinguished Lectures.
The team was delighted to welcome John Sexton to campus in 2016 – an American lawyer and academic, he served as President of New York University from 2002 to 2015.
The 20-minute recording of the lecture offers John’s personal and animated insight into the issues and potential solutions for ‘Higher Education in a Globalised World’. John reflects on the importance and benefits of a diverse student community to universities – a sentiment that rings true during these uncertain times when we’re missing physical interactions with all of our students and staff.
In case you’ve missed any of the previous releases from the series, you can catch up on all of them here. Speakers from previous weeks include Helen Clark, former Prime Minister of New Zealand, and Baroness Patricia Scotland, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth.
New lectures will be uploaded to the page every Thursday. They’re the perfect length to watch on your lunch break!
