Social Impact Lab- The Portal

After a short break, the Social Impact Lab are back with their fourth guest Avila Chidume, a final year Law student with a lifelong passion for human rights who has developed her business, Avila.Diana, with the Enternship Grant Fund opportunity.

Avila is the founder of Avila.Diana, a greetings card and gift company created to provide better representation for underrepresented groups, such as B.A.M.E, L.G.B.T+ and different disabilities, in the greetings card industry. Through her business and law studies, she aims to increase inclusivity and diversity whilst challenging social norms against it across all industries. Despite the current climate and backlash which comes from challenging systems and practices, her passion for human rights and social activism fuels her purpose and encourages her to continue fighting for those who are unable to.

In tomorrow’s episode, they’ll be talking about race and diversity after COVID-19 and what anti-racism must look like in the new normal.

Join them at 17:00 every Tuesday on Facebook Live, as they try to make sense of and shape the new normal and re-imagine the world anew.
