The Complete University Guide 2021 has revealed that our university has done well in a number of subject areas, with Southampton ranked number one for Physiotherapy for a second successive year.
The University is also ranked in the top five for Aural & Oral Sciences (2nd), Occupational Therapy (2nd), Electrical & Electronic Engineering (4th) and Music (5th).
A further 10 subjects make the top 10, including Nursing (6th), Civil Engineering (6th), Marketing (7th), Aeronautical & Manufacturing Engineering (7th), Anatomy & Physiology (7th), French (8th), Iberian Languages (8th), German (8th), Geology (10th), and Mechanical Engineering (10th).
Southampton placed 17th in this year’s Complete University Guide – a rise of three places on last year’s ranking.
Yesterday, it was also revealed that the University had recorded its highest ever placing in the annual Centre for World University Rankings, rising six places to 119 this year out of 2,000 global institutions listed.
