SUSU Shop re-opening

On Monday 13 July at 10.00 the SUSU Shop will once again open its doors for customers.

At this time, it will provide a welcome source of provisions for colleagues who have been maintaining the safety and integrity of the University’s infrastructure, for researchers working in the laboratories, as well as those that have been authorised to return to campus as they are unable to work from home.

Our Students’ Union colleagues have implemented a range of measures to ensure everyone’s safety, including:

  • Contactless card payments only
  • Hand sanitising station on entry
  • A limit of twenty-five customers in the shop at one time
  • A one-way system with clear floor markings to help everyone maintain a two-metre distance.

They will be offering a wide range of freshly prepared sandwiches, salads and wraps alongside the usual cold drinks and snacks. Unfortunately, they are not able to serve hot pies, rolls and pastries nor allow customers to use the coffee vending machine, for the time being.

With a reduced capacity inside the shop it would be helpful if customers could keep browsing to a minimum and refrain from waiting outside the store exit.

The Shop will be welcoming customers from 10.00 to 16.00 Monday-Friday and will be closed on Bank Holidays and Wednesday 29 July.

Stay Safe: Please remember to wash your hands regularly, but particularly after visiting shops and before consuming food.
