Yesterday our governing Council formally approved our COVID-19 Response Bridging Strategy.
It sets out guiding principles that will inform how we assess risk, make decisions and take actions over the next 12-18 months. It will help us to navigate both the impacts of COVID-19 as we experience them today and the uncertainties it brings for our future health, wellbeing and economy.
Where possible, it has been informed by the collective feedback from our staff, students and external stakeholders from our consultations earlier in the year on the University’s wider long-term strategy, a process we put on hold when the pandemic spread to the UK.
This is not meant to be a detailed route map, nor is it meant to replace our University Strategy, which will be refreshed in due course to further reflect your input and the new context in which we will find ourselves. This is a pragmatic, short-term approach to help us stay focussed on the University’s vision and long-term ambitions, while we successfully adapt to meet our current challenges.
