The University has today announced a suite of voluntary cost saving measures being made available to staff, including a Voluntary Severance (VS) Scheme. This is one aspect of a wider, strategic approach to our recovery from the expected impact of COVID-19.
The voluntary measures that are being introduced include:
A Voluntary Severance (VS) scheme which will open for applications on Monday 3 August 2020 and close on Sunday 20 September 2020.
The following measures are all effective from 1 October and further information will be available in September:
- The opportunity for reduced working hours for a limited period
- The opportunity for buying additional holiday for a limited period
- The opportunity to take unpaid career breaks for a limited period
- And a reminder that we already have an existing opportunity to apply for flexible retirement.
